N: How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?
Me: Not at all! I'm 27, turning 28 in March.
Husband: No, you're 28, turning 29 in March!
Me: [Long pause during which extremely difficult mathematics (2011 minus 1983) takes place in head] Oh.
While I was reading it my mind was doing a whole lot of processing. First I thought it was you and then when you said 27 I thought you must have been talking about someone else.

I like the number 29 :)
I much prefer odd numbers too! 27 was pretty awesome, I was always looking forward to that one. Think I'll stay 29 until I reach 31.
